3D Field Verification for Commercial Interiors

COREFINISH GROUP™ uses structured 3D digital capture and dimensional modeling to reduce field risk, prevent fabrication conflicts, and deliver predictable interior system installs.

3D Field Verification for Commercial Interiors

1. What is 3D field verification?

3D field verification uses digital capture technology to record site conditions with high dimensional accuracy prior to fabrication.

It helps identify variances between drawings and real-world conditions.

2. Does scanning replace field measurements?

No.

Scanning supplements field verification. It does not replace the General Contractor’s contractual measurement responsibilities.

3. When do you use 3D scanning?

We deploy scanning when:

  • Renovations or TI work are involved
  • Existing conditions vary
  • Tight tolerances are required
  • Complex interior features are present

4. What do you deliver after scanning?

Depending on scope, we may provide:

  • Dimensional validation notes
  • Variance identification
  • Scan-informed shop drawings
  • Coordination flags prior to fabrication

5. Does scanning eliminate change orders?

It reduces avoidable fabrication and installation conflicts.

It does not eliminate changes caused by design revisions, owner upgrades, or post-scan site modifications.

6. What if the site changes after scanning?

Post-scan changes to framing, drywall, ceilings, or finishes may require re-verification and can impact cost and schedule.

7. Do you provide BIM models?

We may participate in coordination platforms as required, limited strictly to our interior systems scope.

Scan data is not a structural or design document.

8. Who owns the scan data?

All digital capture files and derivative fabrication models remain the property of COREFINISH GROUP™ unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9. Does scanning increase cost?

On complex projects, scanning reduces rework, protects schedule, and improves installation precision.

It is a risk-reduction tool.

10. What’s the main advantage?

Predictable fabrication.
Predictable installation.
Reduced field conflict.
